Team SD Worx realises its ambitions with TriFact365

Team SD Worx originated as Team Dolmans Landscaping, a development team for young Dutch cycling talents, to give them the chance of a professional cycling career. Then, together with Boels Rental, it grew into a cycling team with the ambition of belonging to the best women’s teams in the world as Boels – Dolmans. The budget and the names of the riders increased, and there was an umbrella project ‘The Road to Rio’.

Further professionalisation has now led to Team SD Worx. Still a record winning team that competes for prizes in every race. Whether it is a stage race such as the Giro d’Italia Donne or one-day races such as Omloop het Nieuwsblad, Tour of Flanders or Liège–Bastogne–Liège. Roel Janssen, executive secretary at Dolmans Landscaping and financial manager at Team SD Worx, talks proudly about the team.

“We have achieved great results in the past 12 years. Five world titles on the road with five different riders. The world team title in the team time trial and in recent years the best team in the UCI Women’s World Tour. We are happy to continue to pursue our ambitions until 2024 as Team SD Worx.”

Ambitions lead to professionalisation

The development from a Dutch development team to an international cycling team has led to professionalisation of the organisation. The cycling team is attracting established names and the support team is growing. The professionalisation of the organisation got an extra boost with the introduction of the UCI Women’s World Tour in 2020.

“To be able to ride the internationally important races as a team, it was important to join the World Tour. With SD Worx as sponsor this has become possible. The step to become a Women’s World Tour team meant obligations towards the UCI. Among other things, obligations in respect of accounting: budgets, accountability and audits.”

Professionalisation with TriFact365

At the start of 2021, Roel is looking for supporting software for Exact Online. The team, especially the coaching staff, must be able to submit their receipts easily, quickly and everywhere. Online research brings Roel to TriFact365. TriFact365’s mobile app allows the coaches, soigneurs and mechanics to submit their receipts anywhere and anytime. TriFact365’s scan and recognize software then processes the receipts into a journal entry proposal that Roel can easily check and process into a booking.

“As a UCI Women’s World Tour team, you must comply with many requirements in order to obtain an auditor’s report. It is important to receive all receipts. The coaching staff is all over Europe throughout the year and have both debit and credit cards. In order to receive all receipts, we went in search of a suitable solution and ended up with TriFact365. An additional advantage is that with one system I can also process the purchase invoices.”
