At TriFact365 we are constantly working on updates to improve the software. Not only in terms of quality, but also in terms of speed. With our most recent update we have made the most important process, the booking of documents, even faster. This update had already been activated for all AccountView, AFAS and SnelStart users, but is now available for everyone.
Processing without delay
In the past, when making a journal entry via TriFact365, you first had to wait until the accounting software had accepted the journal entry. After this the next document was loaded for processing. Depending on the accounting software you use, this can sometimes take a long time. Especially in the busy months when the quarterly declaration is made, this sometimes causes an understandable frustration with users.
This is why we have introduced ‘processing without delay’, eliminating the dependency on the accounting software. After sending a journal entry, TriFact365 first validates whether the entry meets our requirements. If this is the case, you proceed directly to the next document. The journal entry is then sent to the accounting software in the background.
This means that you no longer have to wait for a response from the accounting software. Now you only have to wait for the loading of the next document, which takes on average 1 second.
Time saving per accounting software
In the table below you can see the potential improvement in speed per accounting software. This time saving is based on the reaction time of the accounting software when sending a journal entry, measured over a period of 30 days between 22-01-2022 and 21-02-2022. It is important to realise that the reaction time of the accounting software can vary from one administration to another. For one user the improved booking mechanism will save more time than for another user.
Based on our measurements across all accounting software, sending a journal entry takes an average of 4 seconds (including loading the next document). Now an average of 1 second is left, which means that on average you can make a journal entry 4 times faster. In extreme cases, sending a journal entry can take tens of seconds, but these are generally incidents. Nevertheless, it is important to eliminate the extra waiting time caused by these incidents so that the waiting time for everyone can be reduced to a maximum.
Notifications about failed journal entries
Does a journal entry fail due to an error in the accounting software? Then you will see a message on your screen. The failed journal entry will return as one of the next documents in the processing sequence so you can adjust and resend it. This ensures that the processing of documents is not interrupted, and you can continue as normal without overlooking the failed entries.
Positive feedback from users
During the BETA phase of this new feature, users have already reacted very positively to this update. Miriam Auwens – Ten Dam of Auwens Administratie says: “Wow, this indeed works much faster. Thanks for this update, that saves a lot of time and frustration.”
Marco Mooy from De Hooge Waerder is also positive: “The waiting time after clicking send and showing a new invoice to be processed is no longer there, so that is a significant improvement.”
