What is scan and recognize for Exact Online?
Scan and recognize for Exact Online means you scan or upload your invoices and receipts, after which the AI in TriFact365 reads the data and prepares a booking proposal in your TriFact365 portal; once you have checked it and sent it through, the entry appears in Exact Online. Nothing has to be retyped: the recognition reads the supplier, the amounts and the VAT, and passes them to your administration through the Exact API. That means faster processing, fewer errors and full control.
Where the standard Exact Online recognition runs into limits
Exact Online has a built-in scan and recognize function, and for straightforward invoices it often does the job. At higher volumes or with more complex invoices, users run into limits, which is why many Exact users add TriFact365 on top.

Connect Exact Online to TriFact365 and automate the whole route from recognition to entry, further than the standard function goes. Exact Online and Peppol
If you use TriFact365 with your Exact Online integration, you also receive invoices through Peppol. TriFact365 arranges your Peppol ID, so incoming e-invoices are recognised and prepared as a booking proposal for Exact Online. No separate software is needed. This works for Belgian administrations too, where e-invoicing between businesses has been mandatory through Peppol since 1 January 2026.
